Open position

VP Finance.

We are looking for a VP Finance for the 2027/2028 term.

VP Finance is a board position — with a seat and a vote. You help decide where the association is heading, not just what its numbers look like.

And the numbers themselves are a lever: under our statutes, AAG passes at least 20 % of its income on to AIESEC in Germany, and currently it is more than 45 %. Whoever runs the finances has a say in how much reaches today's AIESECers.

So we are looking for someone who wants to get actively involved in the board's work — beyond the finance basics. The tasks below are the frame, not the limit.

The finances are currently held on an interim basis by the president; for the coming term the role should be in dedicated hands again.

Key facts

  • Term: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028
  • Election: by the general assembly in late November 2026
  • Time commitment: around 5 hours a month on average, with peaks around the annual accounts (Q2) and the collection of membership fees (Q4)

Tasks

  • Preparing the annual accounts (profit and loss statement)
  • Checking and — once approved — paying member expense claims and invoices
  • Supporting the introduction of new accounting software
  • Budget planning for the following year
  • Supporting the outsourcing and automation of debt collection and payment reminders
  • Collecting membership fees and following up on failed direct debits

What you bring

Some prior experience is welcome, but you do not need extensive financial expertise: a little experience with association finances and with charitable status and donations is enough.

Just as important to us is your willingness to get involved in the board's work — in substance, not just in numbers.

A short note to Kajo is enough — happy to start with an informal conversation.
