VP Marketing.
We are looking for a VP Marketing for the 2027/2028 term.
At AAG, marketing mostly means creating awareness. Of AAG as a network and of the ways to get involved in it. Of what the association does for AIESEC — and of where AIESEC needs support. Of what holds the alumni community together. And not least of living the AIESEC values for a lifetime.
The goal behind it is a practical one: people who have us on their radar are easier to win over for a role or an event. Visibility is not an end in itself here, it is the groundwork for everything else the association wants to do.
VP Marketing is a board position — with a seat and a vote. The name describes a focus, not a boundary: if you want to take on and shape your own projects alongside marketing, you are expressly invited to.
Key facts
- Term: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028
- Election: by the general assembly in late November 2026
- Time commitment: around 5 hours a month on average — steady rather than in bursts; a little more around larger events
Channels
- Social media: Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and YouTube in part
- The Postille newsletter
- The website
And if you want to build up a new channel, you can get that going just as well.
What you work with
You are not starting from scratch: parts of our communication already run automatically — we work with Claude, Claude Design and Postiz. We are expanding that toolkit, and you get a say in where it goes.
Tasks
- Communicating regularly, so that AAG stays on the radar of members and potential members
- Gathering content — asking around where something is happening, and turning it into something
- Running the existing channels, and deciding which of them are worth it
- Active community management would be the icing on the cake — it is not expected
What you bring
Professional marketing experience is welcome, but not a requirement — personal interest counts just as much. Some bring what they have learned at work. For others, community work is the counterweight to their job. Both fit.
More important than prior knowledge is that you stay with it regularly, approach people and collect content.
