From idea to funding.
Planning an event that involves alumni and moves your exchange forward? AAG funds projects like that every semester. Here is how it works.
What we fund
We fund events that involve alumni and at the same time pay into a concrete AIESEC goal: outgoing exchange or reception, meaning looking after interns on the ground.
Depending on the project, funding ranges from 100 to 400 €. How much it turns out to be is decided by the jury, based on the quality of your project plan and pitch; it is made up of the board and selected AAG members.
The focus is currently clearly on outgoing exchange. For reception projects we expect considerably more alumni activation and networking: interns from other LCs get to know your city through your event, and as an LC you build a cross-generational connection to the alumni living there.

What happens when?
The funding follows the semester rhythm. We publish the exact terms one month before the semester starts — after that you have roughly two weeks for your project plan.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Early September · early March | We announce the terms for the coming semester |
| Mid September · mid March | Deadline for your project plan |
| Late September · late March | Pitch to the AAG jury |
| Early October · early April | Funding decision — in time for the start of the semester |
| During the semester | You run your project |
Outgoing exchange projects tend to sit early in the semester (November and May respectively), reception projects a little later.
What belongs in the project plan
The exact terms come fresh each semester. This is the frame you can prepare for:
- Alumni engagement — at least 15 alumni contacted and involved. Having sent an email does not count for this.
- Clear, measurable goals — number of participants, number of oGV sign-ups, number of applications for the project, number of confirmed approved (paid and contract signed)
- Budget plan — including a risk assessment
- Project timeline
- Marketing plan — matching the goals
- The team in charge
For reception projects the exchange figures do not apply. Alumni engagement takes their place — described more concretely and with a solid number of participants.
What we need before we pay out
- a project report
- at least 5 photos of the event
Where to send both is stated in the call for applications and in your funding confirmation.
