AIESEC Alumnni im Gespräch: "The Challenge of remote Leadership across cultural boundaries" mit Michael Illert am Donnerstag, 11.05.2017 in Düsseldorf
Being an AIESEC alumni I always thought leading people remotely and across cultural boundaries is a straight forward affair for me. Across the last 9 years I have built teams across the UK, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. Countries so close to each other yet so far. I look forward to speak about my very personal experience, my successes and failures in building a coherent corporate culture across 4 countries and a strong (management) team. Regardless of the current geopolitical landscape, the world is getting smaller and intercultural leadership is the key challenge for modern management teams.
I started my time in AIESEC in 2000, became VP Learning in 2001/02, was OCP of NatCo, LCP Jena in 2002/03 and MCVP ER in 2003/04. After leaving university I started my career in Learning & Development and later became head of HR. After a short step in Human Capital Consulting I moved to London to join the SR Group, a group of specialist global search and recruitment businesses. Today I am a partner at the SR Group and as such lead our continental European offices in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan and a further team in London focussing on global executive search.
